Jeffrey Matthias Inc,was founded in 1982 with the mission to be a world class leader in molding precision elastomeric components. At that time, the company’s primary focus was on the development and refinement of a new process for silicone molding called LIM or liquid injection molding.
Over the next five years, Jeffrey Matthias made significant manufacturing strides in finding solutions to the problems associated with molding liquid silicone rubber (LSR). In parallel, recognizing the advantages of injection molding and the value of a strong statistical quality control program, we expanded our injection capabilities to include high consistency silicones, as well as organic and thermoplastic elastomers injection molding (TPE injection molding). With the addition of vacuum assisted flashless molding, we now are offer our customers the widest selection of molding processes and material choices available in the industry.
To compliment the rapid growth and assure the company’s position as an industry leader, we continued to increase our engineering and technical staffs while obtaining ISO-9002 certification in 1996, before upgrading to ISO-9001:2000 in 2003. During the same time, additional manufacturing space and presses (injection and flashless transfer) were being added. Now with over 20 years in business, we have 80 presses and 80,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space available to support our customer’s exacting demands.
Today with over 300 people, operating 3 shifts 7 days per week, dedicated to quality, technology, and continuous improvement, Jeffrey Matthias, Inc.will continue to strive to be on the cutting edge of elastomer molding technology.
